70 years of Adr. For the Company in Uboldo, a big party with employees and a book.
UBOLDO – ADR, a company specializing in the sale of axles and suspensions, is celebrating its seventieth anniversary. An important milestone for the company founded in 1954 in Uboldo. The birthday was celebrated with the book "Profumo di Ferro e Caffè" and a grand event at a resort in Tuscany, attended by employees from the various countries where the 15 companies of the ADR Group are based.
ADR's story began in Uboldo seventy years ago thanks to Giovanni Radrizzani and Antonietta Airoldi. The first core of the company was located in the town center, in a 50-square-meter garage, and the first products were pipettes with brass caps for gas stoves. The company was family-run and actively involved Flavio and Giancarlo, who helped their parents with the work from a young age. In 1977, the company changed its name from “Giovanni Radrizzani e Figli” to ADR s.n.c. (“Assali, Dischi, Radrizzani”), and the family began producing and selling axles for agricultural machinery, expanding its customer base and increasing the number of employees. In the 1980s, ADR began expanding across Europe and globally, and today the group has multiple locations in Europe, America, and Asia.
The book “Profumo di Ferro e Caffè”, published by Nomos Edizioni, was written by Chiara Rosa Cavelli and tells the story of ADR and its employees. The company’s journey, from its beginnings to the present day, has been reconstructed through the testimonies and stories of President Flavio Radrizzani, the management, and both past and present collaborators of the group. The book was presented on Saturday, September 14, during the gala dinner at the Garden Toscana Resort, following a day of team-building activities with employees from around the world.
"Seventy years of ADR is a great milestone and a great satisfaction," comments Flavio Radrizzani, president of the group. "Over the years, thousands of people have passed through the ADR group, each of whom has contributed to the growth and success of the company worldwide. Our thanks go to everyone, and especially to those who, with their memories, have helped us share this journey in Profumo di Ferro e Caffè."
